Going to Vaishnao Devi tonight. And believe me, it's only a picnic for me. A vacation in other words. So why the hype about the 'yatra'??
In Hinduism, as in many other religions and beliefs, there are ways and means of attaining enlightenment. One of them is by way of pilgrimage or 'yatra'. When a believer does one of the many pilgrimages then he may claim to have washed his sins and cleansed his soul with the blessings of the Almighty. And thus many Hindus would wait their entire life for the right time to make a visit to one of the sacred shrines across India. One of them being Vaishnao Devi.
So theoretically I'm going on a pilgrimage and also will receive blessings from God for accompanying my parents on their first pilgrimage. I'm satisfied and glad to be able to play a guide's role here.
Along with many other prayers in my list I'm surely gonna pray for my grand dad and his illness and for Vidhu and her struggle abroad. Everything else is somewhere or the other relayed to these two. So may God be with us on this trip.

Medical checkups
Health is wealth. And if we spend our whole day in putting all efforts in accumulating wealth then surely our health would be compromised at some point of time.
But my family that's not the case. Since childhood Grandpa has has the best of food one should get along with sheer hard work with grandma. Dad too worked his way up struggling, but never compromised on health. Maybe that's why my elders are physically sound from within. May God keep them healthy hamesha.
And today am taking them for a complete body check up. Mom needs it the most as it's her health which have been neglected the most. So let's pray for a healthy and wealthy future for all.

So far so good
It's true that this blog have been neglected for quite some time now. But a lot of water has passed over our heads since I last scribbled in it. And today randomly without any special reason or incidence I make it active again.
Things have been quite different when V was here in India. Apart from the love we share for each other there has been a lot of disagreements and break ups. But eventually a break up would result in an increased level intimacy and belonging. However, as far as disagreements go I am a bit disappointed and am sure the feeling is mutual. Coming from different cultures different religions and also different ideologies, it would always have been a challenge in itself to make things work between us. And to have made it till today, thats almost completing 5 years this december, we deserve atleast 2 free passes to the Kingdom of Dreams;)
